The Turbo Agitator Tool is an excellent all-round tool for most general low shear stirring requirements and ideal for using with shear sensitive materials and mixing surfactants. With an axial flow (drawing from the bottom to the top) it can be used from low speed through to high speed, for low through to medium viscosity fluids. When creating surfactant type products (shampoos, body washes) it is best to commence on low speed to minimise foaming. Medium to high speed is suitable for emulsions, suspensions, oleogels, cooldown phases and other products requiring general stirring.

The Anchor Stirrer is used at a low speed in high viscosity fluids. With a tangential flow (moving fluid horizontally around the vessel) the Anchor Stirrer will not break/damage sensitive materials and is ideal for the distribution of high mineral content in fluids. Suitable for emulsions, suspensions, gels, colour cosmetics. Can be used with products that contain large particles or beads that you do not want to be broken. With little vertical flow you may use the anchor stirrer at very low speed for higher viscosity surfactant formulations (shampoos, body washes etc) to minimise foaming.

The Dissolver/Dispersion Tool with medium/high shear is used at a medium to high speed in low viscosity fluids to reduce particle size and break down agglomeration (clumping of particles forming a mass). With a radial flow (drawing from both the top and the bottom) this medium/high shear tool creates high turbulence and is ideal for particle fragmentation and dispersion. Ideal in low viscosity for dissolution of powders, homogenous pigment dispersion and use with materials that are not shear sensitive. Once particle reduction and agglomeration break down has been achieved you may choose to continue with a lower shear tool such as the Turbo Agitator Tool, the Anchor Stirrer or the Spiral Stirrer for the remainder of your product.

Shear rods, mixers, blenders
General function - an essential basic
The ideal accessory for all types of grinding, from liquid to viscous mixtures and dissolving (solid in liquid).
The 4-blade mixer has the specificity of generating more movement in the mixture with its curved blade. It produces quicker results.
However, the tool should be used with care as it can include air in the mixture when placed at the surface. Ideal for foaming and the creation of foam type textures.
Mixer rods are used to make craft soap using cold saponification as well as in other trades.
The stator rotor, homogeniser, disperser
The ideal tool for your emulsions, creams, lotions, balms etc. For perfectly consistent and uniform textures.
It is also the ideal accessory for powder dispersion (clays, natural plants, charcoal), colour pigments (oxides and minerals). Widely used in the make-up, cosmetics, functional food, and other industries.
By reducing particle sizes to a few microns, the rotor stator stabilises your galenic formulations. This accessory works differently from the mixers: The preparation is sucked in from below, crushed by the hammer and then expelled at high speed (max 13,000 rpm) through the bell apertures (air gap).
The turbo agitator, a 4-blade agitator
The turbo agitator is particularly suitable for delicate, fragile mixtures such as coated particles (sun lotion), scrub formulations, pearl gels etc. The tool’s low speed of between 70 and 300 rpm is its main advantage. The rotor rod can also be used to adjust pH at the end of formulation and to maintain suspension.
For cosmetics professionals, the rotor rod is complementary to the stator rotor - low shear & high shear.
The double whisk
